DESCRIPTION
During this course we will dive into the world of theatre clowning. Through play and clown exercises we are going to explore the clown state and unique personal funniness that lies in all of us. This course is a possibility to easily try out clowning.
TO WHOM
The workshop is open for all performing arts professionals, students and amateurs interested in theatre clowning. No need for previous clown experience.
The course also works as an introduction course for people who wish to participate Theatre Metamorfoosi's clown choir, but don't have previous experience as a clown.
TEACHER
Helena Leminen (MA/Theatre and Drama, Bachelor of Music) is a clown and theater teacher. He works as a freelancer in the fields of theater clowning, art education and applied art. In 2022, Leminen has worked e.g. at Teatteri Metamorfoosi, Touring Stage of the National Theater and as a Hospital Clown. In addition, she actively teaches clowning. Helena Leminen has studied physical theater and clowning at Giovanni Fuseti's Helikos theater school in the years 2010-2012 and in shorter trainings, e.g. Led by Philippe Gaulier and Angela de Castro.
