EDUCATION

Teatteri Metamorfoosi organizes various physical theatre master classes during the year. Workshops are led by pedagogically qualified members of the company and guest teachers. The education is aimed to a wide range of performing arts professionals, to students and to devoted amateurs. 

Choose the best option for you:

• MetaWORKSHOP: 12–60h workshops exploring a specific aspect of physical theatre. The workshops are organized mainly on week-ends of during the holiday seasons.

• MetaLAB -Movement Laboratory: regular, weekly based training lasting 2 to 4 months and focusing on a specific technique.

• Education by request: workshop tailored for your needs. In our venue or in yours, in Finland and abroad. Are you interested in exploring the possibilities of physical expression? Of acting with masks? Of commedia dell’arte? Of grotesque body masks? Of the relieving and disturbing power of laughter? Are you interested in the Lecoq pedagogy? Or are you interested in the poetic expressivity of objects? In narrative of materials? In working with communities? In gathering and displaying stories that usually remain invisible?
