AIMED FOR

Performing Arts practitioners who have worked with their personal clown and wish to find the voice of the clown and create together a harmonious clown chorus of all choruses. If you have a doubt about your singing skills, don’t worry, your clown will handle the situation.

 

DESCRIPTION

Teatteri Metamorfoosi is seeking new members for the clown choir.

The choir activity started in the fall 2019 part of the MetaLAB-movement laboratory. 

The meetings are planned and directed, but at the same time, we’d like to keep the meetings open for creative and crazy ideas of all the members. 

In the process of clown that we are following, the performer transforms his/her personal stupidity, mistakes, and not-understanding to the universal level of the clown. This means that there is a holistic metamorfosis in logic, physicality, the concept of time, use of the space and in the voice of the actor. In our choir, we are working for and with these strange clown voices. How to find harmony with the clown voices? That is the question!

 

Venues and timetables of the possible performances are planned and defined during the fall.

 

TEACHERS

The choir leaders will be versatile musicians, trumpet player, composer, and performer Eero Savela and his clown Aine Klaine.

Clown director will be Soile Mäkelä assisted by always so luminous clown Halla Kalma.
