Satirical physical theatre performance about money with two relentless narrators and one hand-bag-chihuahua.

Everything has its price!

 

Business Time takes a peek into the complex, humorous and often confusing depths of the compulsive pursuit of money and wealth. It looks at people in sweaty collared shirts chasing luxury and success in the stock market jungle with Rolexes on their wrists. When the housing-investment-finance-stock-market-startup-boom-(soap)bubble finally bursts, a deliciously surreal world emerges from within. And, hold on to your stock portfolio, straight into it we plunge!

 

Our guides on this bling-bling-saturated journey are Kervinen and Tikkanen’s hilariously obscene bouffon characters *. In their hands no stones will be left unturned as they deal with investors and pyramid schemes, the oil trade and the famous 1% who own more than the rest of us combined.

 

The show plays with the absurd aspects of recognizable things, and is, true to the bouffon genre, shamelessly funny and disgustingly ridiculous.

 

* The Bouffon is the more intelligent, grotesque and darker cousin of the clown. Unlike the clown, whom we laugh at, the bouffon laughs at us. The Bouffon is a wild and extreme physical state of play with the unique potential to evoke both rage and explosive laughter, and the ability to provoke a shared reflection on the ethical dilemmas we face.
