Are you looking for something unforgettable, ridiculous, crazy and touching for your event?
In that case, The Clown Chorus is what you are looking for.
The Clown Chorus sings harmoniously with the mouth of all the losers and reaches towards the young and old audience, especially adults. The goal of The Clown Chorus is to bring joy and happiness to people's hearts and add some playfulness and acceptance of mistakes to the world. This choir of fools do not understand anything about the mysteries of life, death, love and hatred, but they are very proud of their choir gowns, not to mention of their home made headwears.
WHAT ELSE
In addition to concert, we could also organize a clown workshop for your group. Nothing brings the group together better than a Red Nose. Our aim is to create a safe and fun atmosphere where everyone dares to seek for his/her/their personal ridiculousness. Our teachers are pedagogically skilled and experienced professionals.
The length of the workshops is up to your needs, from 45 min to whole day or even whole week treat.

TO WHOM
We do gigs in private and public events,
for associations, enterprises, institutes and festivals, indoors and outdoors.
The Clown Chorus is based in Helsinki, but do not hesitate to contact us even if you live further away.
LANGUAGE
Our songs are in Finnish and in English, the clowns can talk either or during the gig.
The workshops can be taught either in Finnish or in English.

THE CLOWN CHORUS
History and goals
The Clown Chorus was founded in the fall of 2019 at the Teatteri Metamorfoosi’s MetaLAB -Movement Laboratory.
From the beginning, The Clown Chorus activities have been laboratory-like, as both the leaders and the participants have been on the brink of something new. What is new is not so much the choir singing or the clown, but their sweet combination.
The goal of The Clown Chorus is to make all the colorful clown voices sound harmoniously and to do clownery through music. The clown's voice gives room for play and it speaks or sings with the mouth of all our human failures.
For the first year, the musical director of the choir was the versatile musician, trumpeter, composer and performer Eero Savela alias Aine Klaine.
From autumn 2020 until the end of the year 2024, the music director was theatre teacher and music pedagogue Helena Leminen and her charming clown Grace Von Virtanen.
Since January 2025, theatre instructor, singer and performer Iika Hartikainen and her humble and talented clown Nolja Kekkonen has led the music.
Founder member and co-director of the choir is Soile Mäkelä, whose clown Halla Kalma sings in the choir.
