AIMED FOR

The workshop is open for all performing arts professionals, students and amateurs interested in improving their physical theatre skills.

No need for previous mime experience.

 

DESCRIPTION

Gassot's mime course explores how individual, immobile points can be made to form living entities on stage and how to use mime as a set. We learn about the timing and rhythm of physical comedy. The course's teaching is based on Gassot's own comic mime.


 

TEACHER

Marc Gassot is a freelance actor from Helsinki. He has acted in several television series, films and theatre productions. Gassot graduated as an actor from the Theatre Academy and the Jacques Lecoq Theatre School, and studied at the Philippe Gaulier Theatre School. His special skills include mime and clowning. In 2014, Gassot received the State Prize for Theatre Arts.
