KEY WORDS

Improvisation workshop, movement base-theatre

AIMED FOR

Teatteri Metamorfoosi offers open workshops for the wide field of performing arts: theatre, puppetry, music, dance, and circus makers, from professionals to amateurs. These physical theatre courses are designed not just for performers, but also for directors, playwrights, and teachers.

DESCRIPTION

The improvisation workshop focuses on creating scenes using tools from movement-based theatre. Together, we will explore questions such as: Do we always have to be funny? At what point does speech become necessary for the first time? We will also address any other topics or needs that arise from the group.

The classes include movement exercises applied directly to scene-building, with a particular focus on identifying and developing themes, as well as encouraging the performer's freest, most natural expression. Learning takes place within a collaborative group process, meaning all participants actively bring their unique skills and knowledge to the table.

Come with an open mind – play is the way!
